About the Center

The Infectious Diseases Research Center of Birjand University of Medical Sciences was established in 2011, and in the 260th session of the Development Council of Medical Sciences Universities in 2016, a definite agreement was made with the establishment of this center. The center's research group consists of infectious specialists, gastroenterologists, immunologists, hematologists, microbiologists, parasitologists, virologists, andresearch faculty members. This center is ready to cooperate in all research activities in the field of hepatitis and related infectious diseases with all people and scientific centers. Currently, this center is the provincial branch of the country's hepatitis network.

 

Goals

  • Development and application of human knowledge in the field of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of hepatitis

  • Effective presence in related scientific meetings and valid journals

  • Conducting applied clinical and epidemiological researches as well as targeted basic researches in order to produce knowledge and help to provide medical health services to patients

  • üSetting up a comprehensive system for registering information about hepatitis patients in the region

  •  üGuiding the students of Birjand University of Medical Sciences in different categories in order to target applied research in the field of hepatitis
