This department was established in 1992 in the Faculty of Allied Medicine, starting with admission of students in the associate level and later in the bachelor level in 2008.

The department of radiology is currently equipped with a physics laboratory, dosimetry and imaging devices quality control which involve advanced dosage and quality control measurement instruments which are perfectly suited for the students' educational and research objectives.
