Location: Birjand University of Medical Science, Medical College

Aiming at educating students, performing practical researches and developing infrastructures in Biotechnology domain, Medical Biotechnology department was established in 2016. The first students of this field of study started their study in 2016.

Department Objectives

Regarding medical needs of the country, the most important objective of Medical Biotechnology field of study is to promote the level of knowledge in this field and create a positive attitude toward this field among all other fields of study in Medical Science. This can be done through creating opportunities for scientific and practical capabilities to introduce new approaches in Molecular Medicine field in the country. As a result, this field applies all its scientific and practical knowledge in biotechnology domain and Genetic Engineering along with other fields of study in Medical Science and tries to be productive in teamwork projects.
