The Medical school now admits residents in nine disciplines (including internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, anesthesiology, general surgery, neurosurgery, family medicine, neurology and pediatrics) via national entrance exam for residency which is held on an annual basis by the Iranian Ministry of Health and Education. The increased number of faculty members (especially in sub-specialized fields such as cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, pediatrics, gynecology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, urology, etc.) along with the massive investments in equipping the sub-specialized sectors with latest facilities has provided a suitable condition for training residents in different disciplines and has considerably improved the quality and quantity of services to patients and those in need of health service.

With the authorization issued by the IPD (International Patient Department) and with regard to the specialty and subspecialty facilities provided, the diagnostic and treatment centers of the University are prepared to admit patients from all over the world.
