General objectives of prosthodontics include:

  • Elimination of oral diseases as much as possible

  • Maintaining health in the teeth and the surrounding tissues that affect the dental prosthesis

  • Restoration of oral function so that the prosthesis is comfortable and does not interfere with speaking.

The major aim of dental prosthetics is to rebuild the lost parts of the mouth and teeth in such a way as to maintain the function of the teeth, beauty, comfort and health in the patient. Dental prosthodontics comprises of both fixed and mobile prostheses.
