With a history of more than 20 years, the Neurosurgery Department of Imam Reza Hospital is one of the most active wards of the hospital. With the presence of 2 neurosurgeons, this ward is able to admit patients with neurological trauma, central and peripheral nervous system tumors, and disc and spinal cord injuries from the neighboring cities and countries.

This department has 10 beds in the neurosurgery ward, 4 beds in Post ICU and 12 active beds in Neurosurgery ICU. Moreover, there are one well-equipped neurosurgery and one emergency neurosurgery operating rooms.

The two neurosurgical specialists working in this department are:

  • Dr. Jalal Ahmadi, Neurosurgery Specialist, expert physician in spinal and disorders.(Different types of surgeries related to his expertise are performed on IPD patients. Including brain tumors, spinal disc disorder, correction of different types of spine deformities)

  • Dr. Javad Hashemi, Neurosurgeon Specialist
